Annapurna Lowland Region

We start our trip in Kathmandu (the capital of Nepal), taking in a day sightseeing to some of the historical sites, finishing the day with a traditional dinner and local dancing.
We then fly to Pokhara spend the day to visit some temples and the International Mountaineering Museum. The next day we transfer to Birethanti and start our trek to Ulleri.
From here we trek up to Ghorepani where it is possible to buy a number of lovely trinkets. The following day we trek up to Poon Hill before sunrise to see the magical vista of Annapurna range with views of 30 spectacular Mountains including Annapurna South and Machhapunchhre ( known as the fishtail mountain).

The  Annapurna region hosts the Rhododendrons in bloom in the March/April season. T4W has scheduled this trek to coincide with this season, at the same time giving the opportunity to be immersed in the Nepalese culture and Himalayan Mountains.

Chitwan National Park
This Annapurna Lowland trip also includes visiting the Chitwan National Park where you will be able to ride the elephants, view the one horned Rhinoceros walk amongst the wildlife and experience the local culture of this area.Chitwan National Park is 90 k south west of Kathmandu and spreads over 967 sq k. In the north /west area of  the park is an island known as Bandarjhola which is surrounded by the Narayani River. The famous Royal Bengal Tiger and the endangered one – horned Rhinoceros can be found roaming the park. You can also find leopards, sloth bear, bison, wild boar, deer, monkey, crocodiles, pythons, fresh water dolphins and over 450 species of exotic birds.

The best way to view the Chitwan NP and its wildlife is by Elephant back, through the tall grasslands. After a day in the park the evening is spent by a listening to the jungle sounds and watching cultural entertainment. There is the opportunity to ride the elephants bare back to the river while they bathe and help to scrub them down. Clients describe this as the highlight of their visit to Chitwan
