Pokhara/ Annapurna Sanctuary

The Annapurna Sanctuary trek offers stunning views in a natural amphitheatre of 10 impressive mountains peaks of 6,000 – 8,000 metres at Annapurna Base camp. The trek is really worth the extra effort and time taken to explore this area. MAGIC!!!
We start our trip in Pokhara, taking in a day sightseeing to visit some temples and the International Mountaineering Museum. The next day we transfer to Birethanti which is the starting point of the Annapurna Sanctuary trek.
We get to bathe in the hot pools at Jhinu, see the Magical sunrise of Annapurna South, Hiun Chuli and  Machhapunchhre (also known as the fishtail mountain) from Chomrong.

Pokhara is on the shores of Lake Phewa Tal and has spectacular mountain scenery with a lush foreground of greenery surrounding the lake. Pokhara is close to the Annapurna Mountains and offers nothing more than to relax; eat in one of the many cafés or take a leisurely boat ride on the lake.
Pokhara is two hundred kilometres from the capital, Kathmandu city, has a population of around 180,000and is the main recruiting town for the Gurkha regiments in the Indian and British armies.

It is also possible to spend time at a retreat for yoga and meditation which is in a beautiful setting above the shores of Lake Phewa Tal.
If you are short on time and want to get up close to the mighty Himalayas (at an altitude of  around 4,130 metres) then this is the trip to choose. One word our clients describe the Annapurna Base camp vista – “SPELLBINDING”.
